Events as Milestones in the Urban History and Their Commemoration: The Spatial Aspect

The article deals with different types of historical events that have become landmarks in urban history. Analysing the historical plans and maps of Cherepovets, the author shows how the events of urban history were reflected in various forms of commemorative practices, focusing on the names of spatial objects.
