The review analyses the collection of articles Role of Pictorial Sources in Information Support of Historical Science published in 2019. Particular attention is paid to the articles which show the scope of historical research involving visual sources of information. The contents of the collection give an idea of the current state of research in the field of visual history and consider new types of sources and methods for studying them.
