The review analyzes the collection of scientific articles The Russian Revolution of 1917: New approaches and views that includes the proceedings of the All-Russian Scientific Conference held in St Petersburg in November 2020. The review examines the key articles of the collection, which are based on the new sources, previously not introduced into scientific circulation: archival documents, materials of periodical press, memoirs, etc. The conclusion is made that the published articles present certain novelty in the understanding or clarification of certain events or phenomena of the revolutionary period, serve as a good basis for future studies, suggest new directions of scientific research, and also help to reconsider the outdated historiographical positions.
